There has always been the rule of "stop feeding while medicating the pond"

I want to disagree with this for the following.

During medicating of the pond the most vulnerable part of the fish is its Gills. If the medication wont damage the gills then it simply cannot do any harm to the intestines. In fact I believe it can do more good than harm as there may be bugs in there that need to be exposed to the medication. So in my opinion please continue to feed your fish during medication of the pond, it can only be an aid and will help the fish reduce stress.
